Salon Picnic

On Sunday, we held our 2nd annual salon summer picnic. Again this year, we rented a pavilion at the Vineyard Campground on Lake Grapevine. http://www.vineyardscampground.com/ Although it was extremely hot, we had a great time as you can see from some of the photos. We ate, swam, fished, hung out, played bingo and bounced in the bounce house. Thanks to all the parents, boyfriends, husbands and brothers and sisters and other assorted folks who came and helped us to have a great time. Thanks also to those folks who sponsored our prizes for the bingo games. The next time that you see Leslie Sowell in the salon, please congratulate her on having been with Mouton's Salon for 7 years. Yesterday, July 28, was Leslie's anniversary with Mouton's. Leslie is one of the hardest working team members we have. She always contributes 100% and is a great team player. If you weren't already aware, Leslie was chosen Team Member of the Year by her peers for 2007. Leslie, thank you for 7 great years.

Summer Time

July definitely seems to be a month for vacations for our group. Tiffany and Carlyn were out the first week of July; Linda, JJ, Lucy, and Michelle were out the 2nd and 3rd week, Teresa and Bruce were out the 3rd week as was Jess for a few days. We have a couple of our team members who are out this week as well. We hope that you are enjoying your summer and trying to stay as cool as possible. Speaking of cool, in Michigan last week, it was 49* one morning. Nice!

We would be remiss if we let the day go by without wishing two of our team members congratulations and a warm thanks. Jessica Reddick (Jess)and Ashley Parker celebrate their 4 year anniversaries with Mouton's Salon today. They both started July 16, 2004.

Another Welcome

We also want to take this opportunity to welcome Tracy Tarbet to the Mouton's Salon team. Tracy is our new Operations/Education Director for our new salon concept that will be launched in the fall. Called LoxxSalons, we intend to capture a different demographic than Mouton's currently services at present. Tracy comes to us with great industry background. For the 10 of the last 11 years, she and her husband co-owned a salon in NE Tarrant county and for 7 years prior to that, she served as manager/instructor for a beauty school. Tracy has joined the technical staff at Mouton's for 3 days per week as we work toward the opening of LoxxSalons. She has completed the 14 week prerequisite training program that is part of the Mouton's system. She is also taking the 14 week program, refining and distilling it to fit our new concept. She will be working side by side with the rest of the Mouton's team while absorbing the culture and preparing for the launch. Welcome Tracy!

Welcome to the Team

We want to welcome Lindsay Lane to our technical team. Lindsay has actually been with Mouton's for over a year. She came to us after attending Baylor University and started as a front desk coordinator. After a few months, she expressed interest in becoming a hairdresser. After attending Duvall's School of Cosmetology, http://www.duvallsschool.com/, she has completed the prerequisite 14 week post graduate training that is required at Mouton's, before representing us on the floor. We are extremely glad to have Lindsay on our technical team and wish her much success.

Photo Shoot - London

Going through the photo archives this morning and ran across a photo shoot that we did in London about 5 years ago. As you can see from these pics, the styles are timeless and still look great today. A great cut and/or color that shapes your face well and complements your skin tone will never be "out of style" if it is executed properly.
