Summer is almost gone!

Even though it is not official, this is the last "summer" weekend. We hope everyone has had a great summer. It certainly looks as if Erica did. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend.

More Anniversaries to Celebrate

Today we celebrate a couple of anniversaries at Mouton's. It seems that we are always celebrating an anniversary. Probably because we have almost 40 people on staff here.

Jessica (Joey) has been a team member here at Moutons, since 2006.

Kathryn has been with us since 2003.

The Ultimate Anniversary!

Last week Mouton's Salon celebrated 21 years of business. It has been a wonderful, stressful, exciting, mundane, what's next?, are we there yet? time. We want to thank all of our team members both present and past for your wonderful efforts throughout the years. Mouton's would not be the place and in the place today, if it weren't for the efforts of all involved. One person that we need to thank most, is Jack Folz. Jack was the first team member at Mouton's. (even back before we called someone a team member). Jack was around even before Bruce!

Jack, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done and continue to do. You are greatly appreciated, beyond words even. Thank you, sincerely.

Yet Another Anniversary

While we are on the subject of anniversaries, today is the seventh (7th) Mouton's anniversary for Lauren Bantham. A lot has happened personally for Lauren in the last seven years. A marriage, a son, several missions trips and many,many different hair styles and colors. Lauren, thanks for your diligence to our team. You are appreciated. Thanks for seven years of your wonderful service. Now...a little Lauren photo montage.

First, Lindsay (formerly known as lindsaylane), was recently married, to Brett Huckins. She returned this week to earth and has now settled down a bit. Congratulations Lindsay - we all wish you many blessings and peace in your marriage. Would love to post a pic of the grand event that happened a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately, we don't have any. It was an elegant event that was well attended. Thanks Lindsay, for inviting all of us to participate in your lovely evening.

InStyle Magazine

The September issue of InStyle magazine mentions two products that we carry at Mouton's Salon. On page 316 in an article about teased curls, the publication makes mention of

Kerastase Double Force Hair Spray in helping to maintain your style.

On page 320, there is a another quick blurb about curl friendly products, which mentions bumble&bumble Curl Conscious Defining Creme.

These two products can be found on our shelves.

2008 Salon Photo Shoot

Over the next several days, you'll be seeing some of the final photos from our in-salon photo shoot that we did back in June. You will see the before and then a few photos of the final product. Look for these images to be in the magazine publications some time this fall or even as late as next spring. Again, as always, we have done some classic stuff that represents our type of work. Enjoy!

Another Anniversary

Just want to let everyone know that Michelle celebrates a special day with us today. Today is her third anniversary with Mouton's Salon. She started with us just before we moved into our present location on Hall-Johnson Road in Grapevine. Her first few days with us were full of packing boxes and chaos. Michelle, thanks for sticking around past all of that. We appreciate your contribution to our efforts. Congratulations on three years!

While in Colorado over the weekend visiting friends, Abby (the basset hound) was very helpful in sniffing out new customers. As you can see from the second pic, we cornered two potential customers at the bottom of a waterfall. They were a captive audience while listening to the advantages of being a Mouton's Salon customer.
A quick side note: If ever in Idaho Springs, CO, be sure to try http://www.beaujos.com/ for a "Colorado" style mountain pizza pie. They have other locations throughout the state as well.

In Denver, a great place for dinner is Cherry Creek Grill http://www.hillstone.com/. The restaurant group is the same group that owns Houston's here in the DFW area.

Linda Is Back!!

Our aesthetician, Linda has been out almost the entire summer because of a hand surgery. Today, she makes her return. Linda, we've missed you. Welcome back!

Celebrity Hairstyles, #24, ShortHair Fall 2008, has featured the Mouton's team in a two page spread called, "Texas Texture". The quote from the feature - "From the state where humidity and big hair reign come these terrifically textured looks." It features several looks from our in-salon photo shoot, July 2007. We shot some of the looks at the salon and then finished out the day at the Marriott Solana in Westlake. Here are a few looks that you may not have seen that are in the feature.
